Happ Mothers day to me!

Mike and I went out Saturday night and came home with surprise notes under our pillows!!!I was treated to breakfast in bed-sort-of... It was on a tray on the kitchen counter (Mike told the kids that breakfast in bed is too hard to eat!) Complete with home made gifts and cards!! Thanks girls! (Bridger was still in bed)

It was an absolute beautiful day so we spent most of it outside, which was convenient because Mike had to put my mothers day present together! (thanks again honey!!)

Notice Bridgers face in the picture on the left~ The steps were really slippery and Bridger had just slid down them. He was kind enough to re-create it for me so I could blog all about it! (thanks Bridger!!)

Complete with sad face!
Mike worked on putting my new table and chairs together
While the rest of us stayed warm around the fire!

We may have goofed off a little too....

I may have had to shake my groove thing a little too... (it all good though, cuz I still got it!)
Then Grandpa showed up to see what we were up to

He and Bridger were a huge help ;)

We had Grandma come check out my new table

While we visited the kids took refuge in the fort

After everyone left Bridger took Daedrie on the quad ride he promised her...(maybe I promised her Bridger would take her....I can't remember!)

We ended to afternoon with a sweet game of Blong Ball (Blongo? I can't remember!)

Yes, she was watching her ball....And to think she won the whole game?

After our game Mike left to go back to work, which left us all sobbing and eating oreo's (just kidding honey!)

I have to best family in the world!

I love you!

Taekwon Do testing!

I can't say enough good things about Taekwon Do! It has been a great experience for Morgan and I think Becky would agree that Anna has benefited from it as well. Morgan Tested for Her green stripe and Anna for her yellow stripe. FYI you start as a white belt then yellow stripe, yellow belt, green stripe, green belt, blue stripe, blue belt, red stripe, red belt, black stripe, black belt. I am not sure how you progress from there but the instructor, Mr Sakownin, is a level 4 black belt. They both did an awesome job!
These are all the students who tested on Saturday (Not everyone tests. You only test if you think your ready.)Mr. Sakownin starts every testing with a breaking of boards. (last time he broke one with his fist and one with his foot, It was awesome!!)Anna bowing to Mr. Sakownin.Sparring!! WOO HOOO GOOD JOB ANNA!!!!Morgan had to spar with Decker...he is 13...she is 9She had no problem with the age difference

It wasn't totally one sided, He got a few good shots in too!

Sparring is supposed to be non contact, but as you can see contact happens! Especially at tournaments. The only was to score at a tournament is for your kick or punch to be close enough to have made contact, so its inevitable. You do wear sparring equipment at tournaments, so the contact isn't that bad (in the younger belts.... in the older belts LOOK OUT!! )
Morgan was Awesome! Mr. Sakownin usually doesn't say anything during the testing, but during hers he told Decker he needed to fight harder, and after he asked what I feed her.... He said she was after blood! Way to go Morgs! YOU ROCK!!!

And the best Aunt award goes to....

MEEEE!!!! Grandma watched DJ and Maryanne's kids this weekend while they went to Spokane for DJ's graduation (masters of Education~way to go DJ!!). So

Friday the kids got to come to my house! We started out with a quad ride, Parker and the front and Kensie, Daedrie and Maddy in the back! It was a lot of fun, but pretty cold so we stopped before the icicles started to form. I'm not sure what happened~ Parker and I stayed so clean, but the 3 girls all needed new clothes as soon as we got inside!

Then we decorated cookies and brownies~ yes both! (because 2 wanted cookies and the other 2 wanted brownies and because I am such a great Aunt I made both!)

Kensie and Deadrie... such talent!!
Maddy and Parker have got some great decorating skills!

So cute!

Yes, I caved! I let him eat a cookie BEFORE lunch! How was I supposed to say no to that face!

TAA DAA!! Masterpiece!

I'm an Idiot!

So I'm driving home...in the rain/snow (grrrr) yes, its May 6th!! Any way, I didn't have the best "vehicular day" I know thats not good verbiage, but I'm using it any way.

I start out by picking up my niece to take her and my daughter to Taekwon do. I pull into her driveway and wait for her to jump in the Tahoe. (I am parked on a slope) As always, I have given me exactly enough time to get to Pincher Creek, no more...no less! i back out of her driveway and my fuel light comes on! I have 30 miles to go! Can I make it?? I call Becky to let her know I may be calling back to get some help!

I keep racking my brain! how am I out of gas??? Where I live you DON'T run out of gas! Not with the nearest gas station 15 miles away (in the wrong direction!) I get a couple miles down the road and THANKFULLY the fuel light turns off~ whew~ remember I was parked on a hill. I don't have a lot of gas, but at least I have enough to get to Pincher.

So, practice is over and its time to go home...in the rain....and SNOW (*&%)$*@#*^$%)&_*(+(&)$^*#^$(*^)&+)^_&)%$(&$&$*^%$%)*&^_^_(*&%)*%_(*&)(&)*(^&$&^#&%#^%^(*&)
No worries, I got gas! GEESH!! I'm not stupid!!!

I get Anna (my niece I told you about earlier) home and pull out of the drive way once again, this time headed for home! Yeah!! It's cold and rainy and 1 degree Celsius, brrrrr. Well, my car sounds really loud...i have no idea why because my cars computer isn't telling me anything.... so I keep going and listening. I even stop the car, shut it off, and start it again, just to see if that makes it go away~ it doesn't. I pull into my driveway and and my steering wheel is totally pulling to the right, like in a complete circle??? What the heck? So finally I call Mike.

"Mike, there's something wrong with the Tahoe!"
He says "really, whats it doing" I tell him...
He says "what does your tire pressure say on your computer?"
its normal, they are all perfect!
He says "really? did you get out and look?"
"Um, no"
"Maybe you should look"
"OK....oops..."
sure enough! My front right tire is COMPLETELY flat!
DANG!

I had no idea thats what was wrong! In all my 33 years I have never driven on a flat tire! I'm officially an idiot!

So, now I'm home... I just renewed my AMA so now I can call them to come fix it!

ps. Mike just called and asked what I was doing. I told him I was blogging about being and idiot.
He says (and I quote) " You don't have to blog about being an idiot, you should blog about being hot!" So there you go! I'm a hot idiot!! woo hoo!!!

Plyometrics

Bridger and I are doing P90X (whether he likes it or not!) Today we did plyometrics which is the hardest one so far, but today Bridger barely escaped with his life! Since I didn't have my camera, let me try and paint you a picture.....

Bridger pops in the dvd and changes into some comfortable shorts, I am sliding on my running shoes, pulling my hair into a ponytail and starting to do some ballistic stretching (aka shakers/huggers). Bridger has just put on a new pair of board shorts and we both agree that may not be the best idea....
he has been struggling to NOT rip his clothes, I don't know what the deal is but in the last week he has ripped 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of pajama bottoms, 1 pair of jeans.

Bridge goes and changes into some nice STRETCHY basketball shorts and I push play~
whoo hoooo lets go!!!

We're running in place, warming up, getting ready to kick some plyo butt. I look over to give Bridge and encouraging "lets do it!, Your the best son in the world look... when my eyes narrow and he slowly starts backing away....

Cookie crumbs falling from his mouth, he goes "whaaattt?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? YOUR EATING A COOKIE WHILE WE ARE EXERCISING???? AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT IS THE POINT OF EXERCISING IF YOUR EATING COOKIES AT THE SAME TIME???

How'd I get Here??

SERIOUSLY!! It's my own dang fault! I have always let my sister talk me into stuff, but really, blogging? I have no idea how to do this!! So Lynita, just so you know, this is all for you! This is your 4:00 am nothing to do at the hospital site! and FYI I really like to use exclamation points !!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! I will do my best keep up with the blogging world, and maybe, just maybe, someday, someone will read this...
