FOOTBALL!!!

FOOTBALL !!
This year Bridger moved up to bantam (which is grades 8&9) and played starting offence the entire season. They have an awesome team and had a great season with a record of 5-1 in the official season. They lost the semi final game to our town rival with a score of 3-6. It was a heartbreaking loss, but I was so proud of Bridger! It was his best game of the season playing almost the entire game on both offence and defense (not bad for being in grade 8!) Just in case you can't tell bridger is #67

After every win (and our only loss) the Cougars line up to do the Hakka. I'm not sure who loves it more... the boys or the fans?!?!

The Hakka!

The Gibb Cabin

It's been FOREVER since we've been up to the cabin in Mountain View!! As you can see from the ladders inside its been getting some work done~the new roof is on, the loft is almost done and the flooring is about ready to go in! I'm not sure what Parker was telling Morgan and Brenden, but it looks like it was VERY important!!
Daedrie and Kensie~ so cute!!

Jaxon LOVES his Uncle Mike! Look at Mikes welcoming arms and expression...
Why do kids like him?

The lake view

Grandma stokin' the fire. (As you can tell we were all eager to help)
This summer has been insanely busy and it was nice to spend some time with the family
(even if we were the first to bail cuz Mikes allergies were starting to act up)

Home Sweet Home!!
It was only for a weekend, but we still had a great time!!

we almost ran over this poor guy on some back good ole' Minnesota back roads!

Awe.....good times!!

Sisters Lunch!!

First off, I just want to say LOOK I"M POSTING!! don't get too excited it might not happen again for a while...

Today was our First annual Sister whatever-you-want-to-call-it! All 5 of us went shopping and out for lunch. As far as shopping goes I would say it was pretty unsuccessful, but it was great to be together. The truth is, I've been a little homesick for them and a little jealous that they all live so close to each other...

I need to tell my hubby thanks for suggesting that we do this, and thanks for buying us all lunch. MWAAA!!!

Also, thanks Mom for watching all the kids, we love you!!

I love you guys!

SLACKER!!

Yup! That's me! I'm a total slacker, and I've been avoiding this web sight for fear it would make me feel guilty! I took pictures of track and field...haven't even taken them off the camera... I did take some pictures of this weekend...on Mikes camera...

I think I'll blame it on the snow! THAT'S RIGHT I SAID SNOW!!! ITS BEEN SNOWING FOR 3 DAYS NOW!!! We went to Waterton last night to the theater... that's only open in the summer, obviously because they don't have HEAT! It was FREEZING!!! At least the movie was good, We saw Night at the Museum 2!! It was super funny! The only thing better than watching a funny movie while freezing my toes was the bear we saw on the way out! uhhuh we saw a bear (insert dancing motion here)!!! On our first trip to Waterton this year too!! k-well, if Mike sends me pictures-I might post them....maybe....

Happ Mothers day to me!

Mike and I went out Saturday night and came home with surprise notes under our pillows!!!I was treated to breakfast in bed-sort-of... It was on a tray on the kitchen counter (Mike told the kids that breakfast in bed is too hard to eat!) Complete with home made gifts and cards!! Thanks girls! (Bridger was still in bed)

It was an absolute beautiful day so we spent most of it outside, which was convenient because Mike had to put my mothers day present together! (thanks again honey!!)

Notice Bridgers face in the picture on the left~ The steps were really slippery and Bridger had just slid down them. He was kind enough to re-create it for me so I could blog all about it! (thanks Bridger!!)

Complete with sad face!
Mike worked on putting my new table and chairs together
While the rest of us stayed warm around the fire!

We may have goofed off a little too....

I may have had to shake my groove thing a little too... (it all good though, cuz I still got it!)
Then Grandpa showed up to see what we were up to

He and Bridger were a huge help ;)

We had Grandma come check out my new table

While we visited the kids took refuge in the fort

After everyone left Bridger took Daedrie on the quad ride he promised her...(maybe I promised her Bridger would take her....I can't remember!)

We ended to afternoon with a sweet game of Blong Ball (Blongo? I can't remember!)

Yes, she was watching her ball....And to think she won the whole game?

After our game Mike left to go back to work, which left us all sobbing and eating oreo's (just kidding honey!)

I have to best family in the world!

I love you!

Taekwon Do testing!

I can't say enough good things about Taekwon Do! It has been a great experience for Morgan and I think Becky would agree that Anna has benefited from it as well. Morgan Tested for Her green stripe and Anna for her yellow stripe. FYI you start as a white belt then yellow stripe, yellow belt, green stripe, green belt, blue stripe, blue belt, red stripe, red belt, black stripe, black belt. I am not sure how you progress from there but the instructor, Mr Sakownin, is a level 4 black belt. They both did an awesome job!
These are all the students who tested on Saturday (Not everyone tests. You only test if you think your ready.)Mr. Sakownin starts every testing with a breaking of boards. (last time he broke one with his fist and one with his foot, It was awesome!!)Anna bowing to Mr. Sakownin.Sparring!! WOO HOOO GOOD JOB ANNA!!!!Morgan had to spar with Decker...he is 13...she is 9She had no problem with the age difference

It wasn't totally one sided, He got a few good shots in too!

Sparring is supposed to be non contact, but as you can see contact happens! Especially at tournaments. The only was to score at a tournament is for your kick or punch to be close enough to have made contact, so its inevitable. You do wear sparring equipment at tournaments, so the contact isn't that bad (in the younger belts.... in the older belts LOOK OUT!! )
Morgan was Awesome! Mr. Sakownin usually doesn't say anything during the testing, but during hers he told Decker he needed to fight harder, and after he asked what I feed her.... He said she was after blood! Way to go Morgs! YOU ROCK!!!
